CNET Channel Announces Plans to Improve its UNSPSC Classification Option; Enable Support of Multiple UNPSC Versions SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. November 15, 2005 Striving to better serve our customer's needs, CNET Channel is in the process of improving our UNSPSC classification option and enabling support of multiple UNPSC versions including a number of older versions released by ECCMA and UNDP. To be able to support multiple versions, we will introduce three new tables to the DataSource client export schema (download.zip). Initially, these tables will co-exist with the UNSPSC tables we currently use to distribute UNSPSC data. After a five-month transition period (on May 15, 2006), we plan to stop delivering the old UNSPSC tables. These tables will be added to the client export schema on December 5, 2005:
For more information about the format of the new UNSPSC tables. please refer to the UNSPSC versioning document: Initially, these three new tables will co-exist with the UNSPSC tables we currently use to distribute UNSPSC data.
