CNET Channel Appoints Jonathan Merrell Vice President of Product Management and Business Development SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (NASDAQ: CNET), today announced that it has appointed Jonathan Merrell as vice president of product management and business development. Mr. Merrell, a 16-year veteran of Ingram Micro, brings with him multi-national e-commerce, IT and operational management experience in the high-tech industry. Most recently, Mr. Merrell was vice president of systems and engineering with Ingram Micro North America where he managed the ingrammicro.com, VentureTech Network and Nimax (now Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division) e-commerce sites. Reporting to Steve Parrott, general manager of CNET Channel, Mr. Merrell's appointment completes the build-out of CNET Channel's executive management team. "Jonathan's cross-functional and global management experience with Ingram Micro and his depth of knowledge about quality and customer satisfaction has direct application to the expanding range of content solutions we're developing for channel businesses and manufacturers," said Mr. Parrott. As the company's first vice president of product management and business development, Mr. Merrell is responsible for defining CNET Channel's products and services strategy and developing partnerships that extend the company's value as an aggregator of best-of-breed content, rich media and e-commerce services. Mr. Merrell's focus on the product and services roadmap ensures alignment with customer requirements, enabling CNET Channel to continue delivering value through innovative technologies, efficient processes and experienced leadership.
